FILM COST CALCULATOR

footage = run-time × fps × ratio ÷ frames-per-foot
autosaves to this browser

01Project

Identifies the breakdown and sets the film format (frames-per-foot) used for every footage calc.

02Film Needs

One line per shooting framerate. Run-time = how long the camera actually rolls; ratio multiplies it. Add high-speed lines as needed.

03Stock Order

Pick stock & roll length — every $/Roll is editable, so confirm against your vendor quote. Verita 200D is priced on application (enter your Kodak quote). The order must cover the footage above before the dev/scan locks turn green.

04Development / Process

Processing splits automatically by what each stock needs — color negative (ECN-2), color reversal (E-6), and B&W each get their own line, locked to the footage of the stocks that use it. Rates and push/pull are editable per process.

05Scan

Telecine / scanning per foot at chosen resolution. Footage is locked to your stock order — change the order to adjust it. Each pass scans the full order.
